Those who took for granted that the pre-Covid-19 traditional working norms would return in 2022 were seriously mistaken. People’s reassessment of their work-life balance and their expectations of employers have changed irrevocably, and the tsunami of layoffs seen in the last few months of 2022 are unlikely to change that any time soon. And it’s looking like 2023 is set for more changes still.
